I’m taking a little liberty here. I know you come for the food, the pictures and the recipes, but I just have to let you in on a secret. Well, it’s not really a secret, it’s my favourite restaurant in all of Perth. Yeah, I went there. All. Of. Perth.
They’re hidden away next to the lake closest to the roundabout with that odd structure in the middle. You’ll know it when you see it. If not, it’s 4/10 Eastbrook Terrace.
I’ve been there three times now and each time the food has been superb. I LOVE consistency! The food is seasonal and always cooked to perfection. Last night? Melt in your mouth Barramundi, asparagus and vanilla potatoes …I know, right?
We all had something different and we all raved about our meals. Mister had this wonderful ravioli with slow cooked meat and a consommé that was poured over the dish at the table. Heaven!
B had a gorgeous looking Black Angus steak (I think it was sirloin) with mash and honey carrots, and there was a slow braised beef shin, as part of their Slow Braise Thursdays. You see, not only is the food seasonal, but they make it fit the weather too. Talk about comfort food. Are you hungry yet?
The staff are friendly and perfectly attentive. They know their wines and will recommend something if you’re not quite sure, then they’ll top up your glass until the bottle is empty.
The best thing is, it’s not that expensive. It’s fine dining food without the over the top prices. It’s in a fantastic location.Outdoors by the lake in the Summer, or cosied up indoors when the weather cools down. The time before last was on the cusp of the cool weather and we were outdoors. They had heaters of course, but they’d also thought of these lovely throw rugs for us to use if we started to feel the chill. Honestly, this place is like going to an old friend’s house, they make you feel right at home.
